I bet it would stick on better if you gave it a coat of borax paste flux and bring it up to bubbling temps. It would be stuck on permanent almost like brazing.

A couple of questions! Does this work on aluminum? Does this work on metals comprised of various alloys? Also, once the finish is achieved…is it necessary to spray it with a clear coat?

I swear this is the best and easiest method. Funny enough I stumbled on brass plating my tools. I was soaking in vinegar bath for 2 days and after all black gunk was gone, I hit with a brass wire 9n the drill and it came up with a brass finish! Cheers

don't use a brass brush with a plastic handle, it will melt and fall apart quickly but wood handled brass brushes are getting hard to find....
